David Gibson was born in northern England in 1947 and began teaching in 1964. He has five diplomas from three English universities. From 1979 to 1986 he taught in Greek private language schools then joined the British Council in Thessaloniki as a teacher/trainer. In 1995 he began teaching at Pinewood International School, becoming Chairman of the English Department in 1999. He worked for Cambridge examinations for many years in various roles before retiring in 2008 in order to concentrate on other projects.
